Wellness Holiday Gift Guide

If there's one thing I love about the holiday season, it's the giving part. I love watching people open things that I picked out for them, and I always put a lot of thought into what I make or get for my loved ones. Some of my favorite things to give people are homemade baked goods, or pieces of art or knitting that I've made. If I'm going to buy something for someone, I love getting comfort items that I know my loved ones will want. A pair of fuzzy slippers for my friend who never leaves the house, a soothing tea blend for my tea-obsessed mom, or a cozy throw blanket for the cousin who just got his first apartment. Today, I'm going to share with you guys my top picks for wellness-themed holiday gifts!

  1. Tea. Teas are so great for hydration, caffeine, and my personal favorite: herbal teas that help crush your sweet tooth because they taste like something delicious. I especially love the ones from companies like David's Tea, because they make flavors like "caramel cookie" and "candy cane crush." If you buy loose leaf teas like the ones from David's Tea, you could also throw in a cute loose-leaf tea infuser.
  2. A pretty water bottle. Everybody knows that hydration is one of the healthiest things you can do for your body, and I personally feel more inclined to drink water when it's in a pretty bottle. At the gym, I have this crappy plastic one that I feel like I can just squeeze water out of and throw around and I don't care if it breaks, etc. But I also have a pretty glass one that can also infuse tea, and I feel so fancy when I drink out of it. Highly recommend getting one for your friends and family!
  3. Exercise clothes or a yoga mat. Like water bottles, I feel like these are things that people are less likely to buy for themselves. But some cute and comfy yoga leggings, a yoga mat or a nice sports bra, might encourage someone to get on their mat and move a little during the holiday season!
  4. Some natural and nourishing bath and body products. Naturally, I love all the products from Queen V, and I am a brand ambassador for them, so if you grab some Queen V bath bombs (which are great for cramps), rosewater spritzer, or probiotics from their website make sure to use my code "vipellah"!
  5. Some sustainable menstrual products! My faves are the Diva Cup and Thinx period panties. I have a code for Thinx as well, reach out to me via email if you want it!
  6. A wellness-themed cookbook. There are so many out there nowadays, from vegan to paleo to gluten-free. Whatever your friend's eating style, there's sure to be an awesome cookbook for them out there. A sweet idea would be to throw in some spices, an immersion blender or milk frother, or maybe some cute meal prep containers.
  7. A Himalayan salt lamp. These are so amazing. Honestly, if nothing else, they're just so pretty to look at. But they are supposed to oxidize the air in the home and raise your serotonin levels, and I think that's always worth a try (especially in the cold, dark winter.)
  8. An essential oil diffuser. For your friends who love a good-smelling house, these are great and lots of them are really cute. You can also buy sets that come with certain oils. My mom and I both use one regularly, and I love mixing and matching the scents to match my mood. Lemongrass and orange for creativity, eucalyptus and tea tree for cleaning, lavender and sandalwood for winding down.
