Hello hello!
I graduated college in May, and since then, I have been working on self-growth, self-improvement, and finding myself after leaving the intense pressure of academia behind.
I have accepted a position with Americorps at a homelessness prevention program in my area, and am looking forward to this chance to bring my public health knowledge into a social service job. I have been doing a little bit of everything around the office, and I am loving this new chapter of my life.
I bought a car, and every morning I happily commute to my office. It feels good to be back home as an adult in my twenties - it's a different world than when I was in high school, definitely.
It has been a little weird to move from a very loose, party-fueled college environment back into my childhood bedroom. Letting my mom know when I'll be home from going out, not being surrounded by people my age, and things like that have been a little strange.
But now I'm back to blogging. When I get home from my 9-5, I feel compelled to do something creative and therapeutic, which is why lately I've been cracking open a hard seltzer and playing the Sims 4... But I think it's time I switch my creative energy from Sims-ing to blogging again. I'm still looking forward to doing more video stuff, and perhaps even starting to create content for Youtube along with the blog.
